Anise
Anise also helps improve digestion, alleviate cramps and reduce nausea. Consuming star anise tea after meals helps treat digestive ailments such as bloating, gas, indigestion and constipation.
Ashwagandha
Ashwagandha helps in acidity by reducing the levels of acid in the stomach
Sweet Basil
Studies suggest that eugenol, a compound in basil, can keep your gut safe from pain, nausea, cramping, or diarrhea by killing off bacteria such as Salmonella and Listeria. Eugenol even has an antispasmodic property that can keep cramps at bay.
Lemon Balm
Given its potential impact on your digestive system, lemon balm may also help relieve feelings of nausea. A 2005 review assessing the results of several studies on lemon balm found the herb to be useful in treating gastrointestinal symptoms such as this.
Spearmint
Spearmint (Mentha spicata), and peppermint (Mentha × piperita) are recommended for their antiemetic and antispasmodic effects on the gastric lining and colon. Several studies show the efficacy of peppermint in reducing postoperative nausea and vomiting.
Icelandic Moss
Iceland moss has anti-inflammatory, anti-nausea (antiemetic), and has demulcent activity (soothes mucus membranes). Iceland moss is reportedly also a galactogogue (promotes lactation in humans).
Horehound
Horehound is sometimes used by herbalists to treat nausea associated with motion sickness.
