Holy Basil
Holy basil may be useful: As an antioxidant. For protecting the liver. For treating lowering blood sugar; in one study, people with diabetes had lower blood sugar while they were taking holy basil.
Fenugreek
In one study, researchers in India found that adding 100 grams of defatted fenugreek seed powder to the daily diet of patients with insulin-dependent (type 1) diabetes significantly reduced their fasting blood glucose levels, improved glucose tolerance and also lowered total cholesterol, LDL or ‘bad’ cholesterol and  triglycerides.
Bilberry
Traditionally, bilberry leaves have been used to control blood sugar levels in people with diabetes. Research shows that all berries help reduce the body’s glucose response after eating a high sugar meal. Studies suggest bilberry may be effective for managing blood sugar levels
Hibiscus
One study in 60 people with diabetes demonstrated that those who drank 8 ounces (240 mL) of hibiscus tea twice a day for 1 month experienced significant reductions in systolic blood pressure (the top number of blood pressure readings), compared with black tea. Additionally, studies show that hibiscus may help reduce insulin resistance
Turmeric
Turmeric’s active component, curcumin, is credited with many of the spice’s purported benefits. A 2013 review of studies suggests that curcumin can decrease the level of glucose in blood, as well as other diabetes-related complications. Researchers also found that curcumin may have a role in diabetes prevention.
Ginger
Ginger has been shown to modulate insulin release. Ginger promotes glucose clearances in insulin responsive peripheral tissues, which is crucial in maintaining blood glucose homeostasis . As well as, it is reported that 6-gingerol increases the glucose uptake at insulin responsive adipocytes.
Ceylon Cinnamon
Cinnamon may help support blood sugar management by increasing insulin sensitivity, decreasing blood sugar levels after eating, and reducing the risk of diabetes-related complications.
Aloe
Helps regulate your blood glucose levels. It helps reduce diabetes-associated symptoms and further complications. In addition, people with diabetes can take aloe vera to improve the wound healing process, manage weight, and lower inflammation.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
An Italian study found that adding extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) to foods reduces the glycemic index of meals, helping to protect against cardiovascular complications and Type 1 diabetes.
Black Pepper
Black pepper is safe for those with diabetes, as it can help with blood glucose management and lowering blood glucose spikes. Black pepper also substantially increases insulin sensitivity.
